RTI Tools for English Learners
Data Narrative SampleThis form can be used to write a data narrative when an English Learner is being considered for Special Education services. It could also be used as an ESL plan to suggest classroom modifications for students who are struggling learners.

Peer ComparisonThis form is used to see how students are performing compared to like peers. In this case, Jennifer Sample has slower than normal average growth compared to her peers in the area of Reading. This could be an additional piece of evidence that perhaps her difficulty in reading could be more than a language issue.

Intervention Plan/Virtual Collaboration
Another form that could be useful in the RTI process is this intervention plan, which can be used as a collaboration tool to help streamline and focus interventions for students. One of the biggest downfalls of our current Kid Talk process is that interventionists, who are often para-educators are not able to be a part of the process. By using the virtual collaboration form in a Google Doc, it could be a tool to ensure students are not bouncing from one intervention to the next, without time to apply their new learning independently.
