A Place at the Table
With the implementation of No Child Left Behind, the precedence has been set that an effective teacher will comfortably implement multiple data collection systems, causing us all to grow as data leaders. Leading with data is making a conscious effort to know your students well, and to collaboratively determine how to move each student forward, wherever they are. It is essential for all us to develop our voice in our data team meetings and to advocate for the needs of our students. We all bring a different perspective, an arsenal of resources, and multitude of complementary strengths. We are all essential elements in the tapestry of collaboration. It is imperative that each stakeholder feels valued and understands they have an important role at the table.
