Compelling Conversations |
Compelling conversations are meetings held at the beginning of the year to help teachers become familiar with their incoming English Learners. English as a Second Language teachers have the unique ability to follow their students throughout the years. This can really be an asset for teachers when starting with a classroom full of students, all with unique needs. During our Compelling Conversations, we will talk about each student's language proficiency level in each domain, share what the student has demonstrated they can do in the English language, set a language proficiency goal, and share any modifications or interventions the student received the previous year.
